I first visited Cafe Vida when I traveled to California for Christmas, and I loved it so much, I was excited to go back for breakfast when I was in California again. Located right next to the Kirk Douglas Theatre, it’s nestled right in heart of Downtown Culver City (my hometown.)
Café Vida provides a distinctive combination of low fat California and Latin dishes that bring together a variety of unique and delicious flavors. Quality and consistency are top priorities. We use only the best products and the freshest ingredients, which means we never need to use any heavy oils or sauces, just simple cooking that tastes great, looks great and makes you feel good. Café Vida owners remain true to their name and philosophy. “Food is the mainstay of social and cultural events, not only does it provide nutrition, it helps facilitate connections between people… its all about enjoying life”
I ordered Earl Grey tea and their Green Power Shake that is made with fresh kale, spinach, dates, hemp protein, maca and almond milk. Other members of my family tried their oatmeal, buttermilk pancakes, alkalizer juice, matcha chai latte, and more to raving reviews. Everything was delicious.
Recommendation: Their Green Lemonade is outstanding. I love their twist on classic lemonade by adding spinach and fresh mint.
So many lovely teas…
I love starting my day with a healthy breakfast and it always makes me happy when restaurants offer more nutrition options. Cafe Vida fits the bill – not only this their food wholesome, but it tastes amazing.
If you ever find yourself in Southern California (they have three locations – Culver City, Pacific Palisades, and El Segundo) and are looking for a casual, but delicious place for breakfast, be sure to check out Cafe Vida.
