I have some exciting May Favorites to share today…

May Favorites Savannah Bee Blackberry Lotion

Savannah Bee Company Wild Blackberry Honey Lotion

One small hive—that was the humble origin of Savannah Bee Company. Today, the one small hive concept is the very foundation on which our company’s mission and philosophy rests. We believe the noble honeybee is the perfect role model for a successful and sustainable company. Just like the honeybee, we strive to enhance and contribute to the community and environment from which we thrive. This hive mentality flows through every aspect of our company, from the sourcing of our raw materials to our educational outreach initiatives that now extend across the country.

While Austin and I were browsing a General Store in Greenville, South Carolina, I used the tester of this lotion and immediately fell in love. I’ve never been good at consistently using a body lotion, but this has changed everything. Never have I ever smelled a body or beauty product that smells as amazing as this one does. The wild blackberry scent is outstanding and it uses hive ingredients along with aloe vera leaf juice, coconut oil, almond oils, and safflower seed oil to make this lotion light and moisturizing. My tube is almost gone already.

May Favorites Be Peaceful Candle

Be Peaceful Aromatherapy Candle

When we arrived at our hotel-home in South Carolina, we new we wanted to get a candle to help make our room feel more cozy. This candle is a mix of Lavender and Eucalyptus with essential oils of Cedarleaf and Lavender – it smells like it has some vanilla undertones to it as well. Both of us are very picky about the candle scents that we like, but this one is a winner. We’ve almost burned through it completely so it’s almost time to pick up a new one.

This scent can also be purchased as a glass jar candle.

May Favorites Bass Hairbrush

Bass Wood Hair Brush
This hairbrush has been incredible since I deemed my beloved wooden comb as insufficient to get through all of my hair in a timely manner. I still love the comb, but mainly use it in the shower now, to comb through wet hair. Wood bristles help to condition hair naturally by moving oils from the scalp to the ends. Additionally, the wood bristles don’t produce any static making your hair smoother and less frizzy.

May Favorites Facial Scrub

Alaffia Daily Rejuvinating Facial Scrub
Alaffia is quickly turning into one of my favorite brands of beauty products. After trying and loving their Everyday Coconut Face Wash, I was excited to try this Face Scrub. Its primary ingredients are Virgin Coconut Oil, Sunflower Seed Oil, Emulsifying Wax, Sea Salt, and Cane Sugar. It’s so lovely and moisturizing, I’ve found that I don’t need to use a facial moisturizer when I’m using it to wash my face.

May Favorites Burt's Bees Wipes

Burt’s Bees Peach and Willow Bark Facial Cleansing Towelettes
I traveled to Louisiana for a college gathering to celebrate a friend’s graduation a few weeks ago and I brought these along on the trip. Usually these gatherings are characterized by late nights, early mornings, rare showers, and limited bathroom access. In short, you don’t want to spend a ton of time sleeping or getting ready because it’s too much fun to be awake. These wipes were perfect for getting my makeup off at night or quickly freshening up my face first thing in the morning and I will definitely be bringing them on future trips – especially whenever I go camping.

May Favorites Shampoo Bar

J.R. Liggett’s Moisturizing Shampoo Bar
Are you tired of seeing Shampoo Bars on The Poppy Anthology yet? I recently finished the first bar that I had purchased and decided to try the Moisturizing Formula next. I love it just as much – if not more – than the Jojoba and Peppermint that I had previously tried. Where have these been my entire life? They are the most perfect travel shampoo ever.

May Favorites Shampoo Bar

The only ingredients include Saponified Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Castor Oil, Rice Bran Oil, RSPO (Sustainable) Palm Kernel Oil, Mango Butter, Organic Virgin Coconut Oil, Vitamin E, Aloe Vera, and Almond Oil.
