Besides coffee shops, juice and smoothie bars are my other favorite little places to find on our travels. While in Lexington, I was so thrilled to discover the Weekly Juicery. Located not too far from the Main Street, it’s on a quieter block with plenty of parking across the street.
This cute little shop is the first of a now-growing number of locations in Kentucky. It started as two friends juicing for each other which turned into a venture that has only grown from there. All of the products at the Weekly Juicery are made with 100% organic produce. You won’t find any hidden sweeteners or junk in the smoothies here and that’s always something I’m happy about.
I chose their Matcha Madness Smoothie and ordered it as a bowl that was topped with banana, granola, and goji berries (because goji berries get all chewy when they’re cold and I’m all over that.) The smoothie is made from the following ingredients: Banana, Pineapple, Kale, Romaine, Collard Greens, Ginger, Matcha, Moringa, and Coconut Milk.
My Matcha Madness Bowl was absolutely delicious and didn’t taste like a lot of smoothie bowls that tend to be incredible sweet. This one was spicy from the ginger and I could taste all the greens. The banana made it creamy and loved knowing I was getting all of the awesome health benefits of matcha too. The serving size was generous and large enough to be a complete meal.
If you are a smoothie-lover like I am and enjoy the real deal that is pure fruits and veggies, then you’ll love the Weekly Juicery. Next time you’re in Lexington, stop by for breakfast or lunch and enjoy and incredibly fresh smoothie that’s amazing for you.
